Wates Living Space have been chosen to provide a £7.2 million restoration project for Kensington & Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO).
The work will take place at Trellick Tower and will comprise of extensive external works on one of the most prominent residential blocks in the capital city.
It is a significant development because it guarantees this historic tower located in Kensal New Town will be preserved thanks to the promised investment.
Work, which will start straight away, will focus initially on the six-storey Block B. Following this, external refurbishment will take place on Block A, which is 31-storeys high.
All concrete and cladding will be repaired, renovated and replaced, as will the 1,000 windows on this Grade II* listed structure.
Wates Living Space are also dedicated to providing training and employment opportunities for local residents on the project which will be completed in June 2018.
